About Candimale Cream

MICONAZOLE+ORNIDAZOLE belongs to the class of medicines called antifungals. It is commonly used for the treatment of vaginal infections caused by the fungus Candida albicans called a vaginal yeast infection. It is a common condition, a healthy vagina contains bacteria and some yeast cells. But when the balance of bacteria and yeast changes, the yeast cells can multiply. This causes intense itching, swelling and irritation.

MICONAZOLE+ORNIDAZOLE is the combination of two medicines: Ornidazole and miconazole. Ornidazole is an antibiotic that kills bacteria and other infectious microorganisms by damaging the DNA. Miconazole is an antifungal medicine that stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their protective covering. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

Directions for Use

MICONAZOLE+ORNIDAZOLE is available in vaginal tablets and vaginal cream. Vaginal tablets: Take this MICONAZOLE+ORNIDAZOLE in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not break or crush the tablet. Wash and dry your vaginal area. Lie on your back and gently insert the tablet into the vagina as mentioned in the label. It is best to use it just before bedtime. Vaginal Cream: Take this MICONAZOLE+ORNIDAZOLE is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream by using the applicator. Wash your hands after applying.

Drug Warnings

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to MICONAZOLE+ORNIDAZOLE. Tell your doctor if you are using medicines other than the MICONAZOLE+ORNIDAZOLE. Before taking MICONAZOLE+ORNIDAZOLE inform your doctor if you are pregnant/planning to get pregnant/breastfeeding mothers. Avoid MICONAZOLE+ORNIDAZOLE contact with eyes and oral cavity. Inform your doctor if your condition does not get improved within 3 days of taking the MICONAZOLE+ORNIDAZOLE. During the course of the treatment, you must follow proper personal hygiene for a faster recovery. 

Drug Interactions

Drug-Drug Interaction:

Let your doctor know if you are using medicines other than the MICONAZOLE+ORNIDAZOLE. Because MICONAZOLE+ORNIDAZOLE may interact with other herbal drugs or other prescribing medicines.

Drug-Disease Interaction:

MICONAZOLE+ORNIDAZOLE may interact with caffeine-containing tea, coffee, cola and energy drinks as it may increase the adverse effects of caffeine. Do not take marijuana with MICONAZOLE+ORNIDAZOLE as it may worsen the adverse effects of marijuana. Also, avoid consumption of alcohol with MICONAZOLE+ORNIDAZOLE as it may increase the risk of liver damage and also the skin infections

ALCOHOL

Alcohol may interact with MICONAZOLE+ORNIDAZOLE. Therefore, it is better to avoid alcohol while using MICONAZOLE+ORNIDAZOLE.

PREGNANCY

BREAST FEEDING

DRIVING

MICONAZOLE+ORNIDAZOLE does not affect your ability to drive.

LIVER
